Workshop Details:
A unique 3 hour workshop aimed at women and women identifying participants as part of my current residency at Dance City. This session is rooted in my ongoing research into relational dynamics and human behaviour in dance. The work delves into themes of love, connection, and their distortions, especially in the aftermath of trauma or major life transitions. Together, we’ll explore unspoken desires, contradictions, and deep absences through guided improvisation and voice movement studies.
The process invites participants to become coauthors in creating a living archive of gestures, movements, and sound. This shared material will inform a larger choreographic work exploring intimacy, absurdity, and the body’s resilience. The workshop is grounded in a sense of chorality, individual contributions become part of a collective memory and creative voice.
