About the class

In this class, we will embark on an exhilarating journey of shared discovery, immersing ourselves in the world of movement through an amalgamation of somatic practices.

This process will serve as a catalyst, unfurling your authentic movement.
Together, we will navigate a myriad of imaginative and physical spaces through a series of designed tasks. This transformative journey will lead us through a whirlwind of profound emotions, culminating in explosive physical manifestations.

We will seamlessly meld with the floor. Gravity will be our trusted guide, leading us into and out of the floor, and we will relish the thrilling ride on its wave. We will cut through the air with determined precision. We will turn ourselves upside down! We will train our bodies to thrive within the spectrum of readiness and acceptance, oscillating between the animalistic and the contemplative

About the teacher

Cristina is an independent choreographer and performer living between Germany and the UK. She holds an MA in Choreography and Co-Creation from Codarts and has worked for various companies and choreographers since 2009. Cristina’s choreographic work has been staged in several European venues since 2016. Her research focusses on exploring people’s unique identities (Anthologie), their constrained and negotiated mutual relationships (Somewhere / Shared), and the material and immaterial connections between them and the imagined spaces they inhabit (Arcadia). More recently, she has used collective reflexivity to explore the inner and outer transformations of pregnant (To B.E.) and ageing bodies (TIME).
