Many Lifetimes; A community of transforming solos by Yewande 103.
A new work in the round by interdisciplinary dance company Yewande 103, accompanied by live music from Bianca Wilson and Femi Oriogun-Williams.

Join us for a gentle evening of mesmerising solos and witness movement tenderly transforming between one performer and the next.

Many Lifetimes is steeped in personal archives around change, loss, acts of remembrance and the passage of time.

Touch Tour

Starting at 6.30pm, we invite you to a pre-show touch tour as a way of accessing a sensorial introduction into the production Many Lifetimes. This touch tour has been crafted by SoundScribe, an audio description and accessibility collective and will be led by Shivaangee Agrawal in collaboration with the Yewande 103 Creative Team. This is open to the performance ticket holders and will include:

An audio-described walkthrough of the space and theatre
An elaborated introduction to the themes of the work, including the Director Alexandrina Hemsley's perspective
An elaborated introduction to the performing cast and wider creative team, with insights into the movement vocabulary and score
Tactile exploration of the overhanging canopy, costume, and other elements of the set with Set Designer Rūta Irbīte
Introduction by the Sound Designer Bianca Wilson to the array of folk instruments in the show with an opportunity to handle and hear them.

Please arrive before 6.30pm, a member of the Dance City team will then bring you to the entrance to the Theatre. The duration of the tour is 30 minutes.
